Harvey George Odenbrett became a Judge after the war. He died in 2000, his ashes were spread at sea.

VF-6 (Intrepid's normal Hellcat Squadron)claimed a total of 14.56 kills during 1944. VF-6 Hellcat Aces included F.J. Blair with five kills before being killed in action; C.J. Chambers with 5.3; T.T. Coleman Jr with 10 kills (he also saw service with VF-83); H.G. Odenbrett with seven victories; J.D. Robbins with five victories and the legendary Alex Vraciu with 19 aerial victories.
