This was taken early Sep 1945. This is Isley field.. but those are B-29s from other bases all taking part in the PW Missions over Japan. They are not carrying bombs.., but .50 Gallon drums filled with food and medical supplies for the allied PWs at various Japanese Camps

These bombers were being made ready for a mission to Japan but this time they were not loaded with bombs but, with the war over, they were loaded with food and clothing to be dropped into Allied prisoner of war camps.
