Famous WW2 Quote
"You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word. It is victory. Victory at all costs. Victory in spite of all terrors. Victory, however long and hard the road may be, for without victory there is no survival."Winston Churchill

The photograph portrays the original prototype of the M1 rifle (T5E2) in .276 Pedersen (7mm) with a ten shot magazine. Douglas MacArthur disapproved of the caliber change, and it was redesigned for .30-06. Top rifle is the Pedersen toggle-delayed blowback rifle. Bottom is the Soviet AVS 1936 Simonov rifle.
