These B-17's were radio-controlled drones used to take photographs during two of the Bikini Atoll atomic bomb tests in the prededing month. Note the distinctive markings, clear covers over the waist-gunner positions, and atom bomb logos on each plane's nose. This photo was taken exactly one year after the first Atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, Japan.
