The 2009 Military History Weekend

16 Aug 2009

WW2DB has just gotten word that an event centered around military history is to take place from 16 to 18 Oct 2009 in Williamsburg, Virginia in the United States. Some of the events of "The 2009 Military History Weekend" include a guest appearance by US 101st Airborne Division veteran Colonel Eddie Shames, outdoor display of vehicles (Jeep and weapons carrier confirmed; DUKW might also be on display), and participation from historical re-enactors portraying soldiers from various periods in American history. Aside from this special event, Colonial Williamsburg located in the same city is also a wonderful place to visit, and that is truly a honest opinion from personal experience as I think back to the memorable family vacation of several years ago.
