  • USS Skate (Commander W. P. Gruner, Jr.) fired six torpedoes at a Japanese convoy in the Sea of Okhotsk, claiming one hit that sank a Japanese tanker.   • USS Sterlet fired six torpedoes at a Japanese transport in the Sea of Okhotsk; all torpedoes missed. The transport then revealed herself to be an armed Q-ship, which gave chase to the American submarine. Sterlet was able to escape the counterattack. ww2dbase [Sterlet | Sea of Okhotsk | CPC]
