- In Makassar, Celebes, Indonesia, nationalist fighters attacked Dutch forces and took control of a radio station. Australian troops stepped in to intervene, forcing the nationalist fighters out of the radio station after killing many. ww2dbase [Japan's Surrender | Makassar, Celebes | CPC]
