  • Seeing that the Japanese assault on Changsha, Hunan Province, China was beginning to falter, an order for general counter offensive was given. Turkey
  • Sir Hughe Knatchbull-Hugessen, the British ambassador in Ankara, Turkey, telegraphed London with the main points that Adolf Hitler intended to cover in a speech dealing with his peace proposals.
