ww2dbaseArthur Hermann Florstedt was born in 1895. He joined the Nazi SS organization in 1933. He was promoted to the rank of Standartenführer in 1938. Between 1940 and 1942, he served at the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp in Germany. In Oct 1942, he was made the commandant of Majdanek Concentration Camp in occupied Poland. In 1945, he was investigated by SS judge Georg Konrad Morgen for corruption, and was discovered to have embezzled the wealth left behind by murdered Jews when his orders were to turn the wealth over to the state. He was executed at Buchenwald Concentration Camp in Germany for his crime in Apr 1945.
