USS Amberjack Operational Timeline

19 Sep 1942 USS Amberjack damaged Japanese transport Shirogane Maru in the Bougainville Strait off Australian Papua at 1000 hours; 3 were killed.
16 Feb 1943 The US submarine Amberjack was sunk by the Japanese torpedo boat Hiyodori off Rabaul, New Britain, Bismarck Islands.
