Austria
  • At Salzburg, Austria, Adolf Hitler told the Italian Foreign Minister Count Galeazzo Ciano that Benito Mussolini's invasion of Albania was to blame for the Royal Air Force being allowed to establish bombers in Greece within reach of Germany's main fuel supply, the oil fields of Ploesti, Romania.
