THIS BOMB WING IS THE 42ND BOMB WING 390TH BOMBARDMENT SQUADRON NEW GUINEA, NOT THE 69TH BOMB SQUADRON IT'S THE 69TH BOMB WING 13TH AIR FORCE, THE JUNGLE AIR FORCE.
YOUR DAD FLEW WITH THE 42ND BOMB WING 390TH BOMBARDMENT GROUP. I SHOULD KNOW MY DAD WAS THE INTELLIGENCE OFFICER FOR THAT GROUP. THE PLANE IS "THE HEAVENLY BODY"

William Carlisle... Was your Father -
"Wm W Carlisle #O-80801"? I have his signature/serial on a "Royal Order of Drips" $1 Hawaii dollar my Father carried.
He was Bendix upper 42nd BG/ 69th BS(M) shot down off Buka 18Feb1944 & rescued by RNZAF Dumbo. Three of aircrew KIA & still aboard.
Can send a scan of dollar and rescued airmen names.
