Days after the outbreak of the European War, she was transferred from the Baltic Sea to the German archipelago of Helgoland for escort and minelaying duties. Between Apr 1940 and Jun 1944, she was a torpedo recovery vessel with the 25th Submarine Flotilla. After the war, she was taken over by the Soviet Union and served as an experimental ship under the name Buran and as a depot ship under the name Dubna. She was scrapped between 1957 and 1958.
